Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Painting in the Philippines



The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Major in Painting is a four-year degree program in the Philippines that is concerned with producing artistic representations through the use of paint. This program focuses on developing the student’s perceptual and technical skills in painting.

Taking this major will help you learn about the basics of drawing, the different tools used in painting, the types of surfaces paintings are usually done in, and the use of visual perception in introducing different concepts in your paintings.

      If you’re thinking of pursuing a career in painting, your concern may be a bit justified. If you’d take the graphic design and illustration route, though, you may not have to worry too much because graphic designers have been some of the more in demand professionals in the job market both here and abroad for some time now. That doesn’t mean that that employment trend is not going to change over the years, but as you accumulate professional experience, you can explore different career paths as you go along.
