Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English
The Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English (BSEd – English) is a four-year degree program in the Philippines that will prepare you in teaching English subjects in high school.
Taking this as your major will help you get a closer look at the development of linguistics, the structure of the English language, and the different types of literature (American, English, Afro-Asian) that flourished throughout the centuries.
As an English major, you will be taking the same professional education courses presented in the Bachelor of Secondary Education overview along with a couple of other subjects such as:

May i ask, what are the benefits and differences of BSed-English on other Education major courses. I’m asking this because i’m thinking of what subject should i take as my major subject on college. Please take a look at this

BSED major in English is focused on the English language. Students taking this course may have to deal with a lot of writing (essays, critical analyses, and term papers) and reading (asian literature, european literature, philippine literature, and so on). Students majoring in Math, on the other hand, can expect a lot of encounters with mathematical theories while students majoring in Social Studies may have to study about the origins and developments of different civilizations.
