Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Music, Arts, Physical and Health Education
The Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Music, Arts, Physical and Health Education (BSEd – MAPEH) is a four-year degree program in the Philippines that will prepare you in teaching Music, Arts, PE and Health subjects in high school.
This program is mainly concerned with various MAPEH activities including Philippine and Asian music; local and international folk dances; individual, dual, and team sports; coaching and officiating of sports events, dance competitions, and music activities.
As a MAPEH major, you will be taking the same professional education courses presented in the Bachelor of Secondary Education overview along with a couple of other subjects such as:
- Foundations of MAPEH
- Personal, Community, Environmental Health, Safety Education and First Aid
- Anatomical, Mechanical and Physiological Bases of Movement
- Methods and Strategies in Teaching MAPEH
- Special Education for MAPEH
CAREERS
Qualified graduates of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Music, Arts, Physical and Health Education may find employment as a MAPEH teacher in high school.
