CAD/ CAM Operation NC III in the Philippines



The CAD/ CAM Operation NC III is a short TESDA course in the Philippines that will train you in creating drawing using CAD software.

Some examples of skills that you will acquire from enrolling in this course include:

  • Applying safety practices
  • Interpreting working drawings and sketches
  • Selecting/ cutting workshop materials
  • Performing shop computations (Basic)
  • Measuring workpiece (Basic)
  • Performing routine housekeeping
  • Performing shop computations (Intermediate)
  • Measuring workpiece using angular measuring instruments
  • Performing shop computations (Advanced)
  • Measuring workpiece using gages and surface texture comparator
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Operating a personal computer
  • Creating drawing using CAD software
  • Applying CAD/CAM program
Course Duration:
CAD/ CAM Operation NC III takes a minimum of 234 hours to complete.

Admission Requirements

Common requirements for TESDA courses include:

  • Copy of Birth Certificate authenticated by NSO
  • Copy of High school or College Diploma
  • Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records
  • 1×1 Pictures
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character

Requirements, however, may vary depending on the institution you are going to enroll at, so we strongly suggest you get in touch with the school or training center’s official representatives for more accurate and detailed information.

Qualified graduates of CAD/ CAM Operation NC III can find employment as either of the following:

  • CAD Operator
  • CAD/CAM Operator

Competency Assessment and Certification

Students enrolled in the CAD/ CAM Operation NC III course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation. Sir my son is a graduate of 2 year course IT course in STI now he wants to take cad/cam in TESDA how hw can enroll and how long it takes for him to take that course in TESDA. i have inquired about it in TESDA Cainta in Rizal but the desk officer there cant give me satisfying answer. hoping for your kind reply in this inquiry.   9. just want to ask, im a CAD operator for years, just want to take NCIII for competency,.what is the procedure is it necessary to enrol the CAD/CAM Operation? CAD is my basic subject of my course.FYI

      According to the TESDA official we spoke with, enrolling in the classes is optional. If you’re confident that you already have the knowledge and skills you’ll need, you can go ahead and take the exam immediately. We’re not sure if all TESDA offices implement the same rule, though, so you might still want to contact the office nearest your place to be sure.
