Why did you choose to take the course you did?

Because it is my dream to become a navigator.

 

What was the most interesting thing about the course?

The most interesting thing about my course is since I’ve served on board as a deck cadet, i’d learned many things such as how to be a helmsman, how to be a lookout during navigation, and stowage planning during loading and unloading operations.

 

What kind of activities did you do in your major subjects?

In my major subjects, we demonstrated the practical applications of what we have learned in school for the past 3 years.

 

What advice can you give to incoming students who are thinking of taking the same course you did?

If they want to take the same course I did, it’s up to them, but I hope they would take time to plan their future before making any decisions.

 

What are the things you learned from the course that have proven to be very useful in your work?

Ensuring the safety of the ship and the crew.

 

Do you think you chose the right course?

Yes, because it is very interesting and challenging to be a navigator and travel all over the world while being paid a high salary. Eventhough we are away from our loved ones, we just enjoy the career path we’ve chosen.
