  1. Hi,

I just want to ask if furniture making course is open to females like me? I’m considering to take this course for me to acquire hands-on experience. I think this would help me a lot ‘coz I’m planning to put up a furniture shop of my own.

Also, where is the TESDA nearest to Pateros, where I could enroll in this course?

    Thank you 🙂

    • Hi, Mrs. A!

As far as we know, TESDA courses are open to all genders provided that they meet TESDA’s/the training center’s other requirements.
You can find the list of training centers nearest your place on this page: http://www.tesda.gov.ph/TVI

    • Hi, Flaviano!

      Thanks for visiting our site.

So far, it seems that Balicuatro College of Arts and Trades in Samar is the only school/training center authorized by TESDA to offer this course. We’re not sure if the list of authorized schools/training centers have been updated, though, so it’s best if you’ll contact the nearest TESDA office in your place so they can help you with your concern.

      • Good day. I would like to know if I have the chance to enroll a furniture class since I am only 2nd yr highschool. I am from the remote katutubo village in Occ. Mindoro and it would be a good chance for me since I did not finish highschool for livelihood purposes. I am willing to undergo training in Manila if given the chance. Thank you.

        • Hi, Win!

          Thanks for visiting our site.

We believe so. The basic requirements for this program only require the enrollee to be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical computation, so you should be just fine. Some schools or training centers may impose additional requirements, though, so it’s best if you’ll contact the school or training center you intend to enroll at so they can give you a more accurate and detailed response.

          Good luck! 🙂
