Opticians in the Philippines



An optician is a person trained to work with glasses and contact lenses. Depending on the job description, opticians may perform a number of tasks including interpreting prescriptions given by optometrists or opthalmologists, fitting glasses or contact lenses, telling patients when to get their glasses or lenses repaired or adjusted, and recommending specific eye care products according to the patient’s needs.

What course do I need to take to become an optician?

Different employers may require different courses or degrees for those interested in becoming a veterinarian. Common courses/degrees that may help you get a veterinary job include:

  • Doctor of Medicine
  • BS Medical Science
