Programming NC IV in the Philippines

 

Programming NC IV is a short TESDA course that will train you in writing codes designed to run specific computer programs.

Some examples of things that you will learn from enrolling in this course include:

  • Basic language syntax and layout
  • Designing program logic
  • Program Development
  • Testing Code
  • Debugging techniques
  • Problem solving techniques in the workplace
  • Laws and regulations related to the computer industry

Course Duration

Programming NC IV takes a minimum of 254 hours to complete.

Admission Requirements

Basic requirements for this TESDA course include:

  • Copy of NSO Birth Certificate
  • Highschool or College Diploma
  • Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records or Form 137
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • 1×1 and/or 2×2 Pictures

Careers

Qualified graduates of Programming NC IV can apply for any of the following positions:

  • Programmer
  • Program coder
  • Programming support staff
  • Programmer-analyst

Competency Assessment and Certification

Students enrolled in the Programming NC IV course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation. A National Certificate (NC IV) will be issued to students who passed this assessment. You can find more information on assessments and certifications at the official website of TESDA.

    Ask ko lang po kung pwede po bang gumamit ng VB.Net Console sa Procedural programming Test at VB 6.0 naman po sa OOP. Thanks po.

    hi sir I want to ask if ok lang po magtake nito kahit no experience pa in programming? ece grad po ako and balak ko magshift into programming.. helpful po ba ito and what are the prerequisite that i should have for this course? thanks!

      TESDA didn’t specify whether prior training is required to take this course. It’s the school/training center that decides if they’re going to impose additional requirements (like a bachelor’s degree, for example) on top of the basic requirements that TESDA requires, so it’s best if you’ll contact the school/training center you’re thinking of enrolling at so they can give you an accurate and more detailed response.

    Hi. I passed the TESDA NC-IV Programming. How many certificates will I get? I’m concerned on what the certificate says. They gave me one certificate saying that I’m only competent in COC2 which is Procedural Programming. But I both pass COC1 – Object Oriented Programming and COC2 – Procedural Programming.
