Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing (RAC) NC I in the Philippines



Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing NC I (Window-Type Air-conditioning/Domestic Refrigeration) is a short TESDA course in the Philippines that will train you in installing, servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air-conditioning and refrigeration units in domestic/residential environments.

Some examples of skills that you will acquire from enrolling in this course include:

  • Preparing materials and tools
  • Observing procedures, specifications and manuals of instruction
  • Performing mensuration and calculation
  • Performing basic benchwork
  • Performing basic electrical work
  • Maintaining tools and equipment
  • Performing housekeeping and safety practices
  • Documenting work accomplished
  • Installing window-type air-conditioning/domestic refrigeration units
  • Servicing and maintaining window-type air-conditioning/domestic refrigeration units
  • Troubleshooting window-type air-conditioning/domestic refrigeration systems
  • Recovering and recycling refrigerant in window-type air-conditioning/domestic refrigeration systems
  • Repairing and retrofitting window-type air-conditioning/domestic refrigeration systems and accessories
  • Performing testing and commissioning for window-type air-conditioning/domestic refrigeration systems

Course Duration

Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing NC I (Window-Type Air-conditioning/Domestic Refrigeration) takes a minimum of 142 hours to complete.

Admission Requirements

Common requirements for TESDA courses include:

  • Copy of Birth Certificate authenticated by NSO
  • Copy of High school or College Diploma
  • Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records
  • 1×1 Pictures
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character

Competency Assessment and Certification

Students enrolled in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing NC I (Window-Type Air-conditioning/Domestic Refrigeration) course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation.
