Surigao del Norte State University (Surigao State College of Technology)
The Surigao State College of Technology (SSCT), now turned Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU), is a state university that offers graduate, post-graduate, undergraduate, and technical-vocational courses to its students.
It first started as Surigao del Norte of School of Arts and Trades (SNSAT) which was established through the virtue of the RA 6057 on August 4, 1969. Years later, the Surigao School of Arts and Trades and Malimono School of Fisheries were integrated into one chartered college and became Surigao State College of Technology (SSCT) by virtue of Republic Act 8650, which was enacted into law on June 5, 1998 . And finally on June 4, 2013, Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU) was established by the virtue of RA 10600 by integrating the Surigao State College of Technology, Siargao National College of Science and Technology, and the Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology.
