Telecom OSP Installation (Fiber Optic Cable) NC II in the Philippines



Telecom Outside Plant Installation (Fiber Optic Cable) NC II is a short TESDA course that will train you in the installation and repair of fiber optic cables.

Some examples of skills that you may acquire from enrolling in the program include:

  • Installing pole hardware and accessories
  • Laying out and installing fiber optic cables and accessories
  • Climbing poles
  • Entering/re-entering and cleaning manhole splice
  • Re-splicing fiber optic cables
  • Performing continuity optical testing and repair

Course Duration

Telecom Outside Plant Installation (Fiber Optic Cable) NC II takes a minimum of 320 hours to complete.

Admission Requirements

Basic requirements for this TESDA course include:

  • Copy of NSO Birth Certificate
  • Highschool or College Diploma
  • Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records or Form 137
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • 1×1 and/or 2×2 Pictures

Careers

Qualified graduates of Telecom Outside Plant Installation (Fiber Optic Cable) NC II can find employment as a  Fiber Optic Cable Technician.

Competency Assessment and Certification

Students enrolled in the Telecom Outside Plant Installation (Fiber Optic Cable) NC II  course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation.
