Aquaculture NC II in the Philippines



Aquaculture NC II is a short TESDA course in the Philippines that will train you in assisting in aquaculture operations.

Some examples of skills that you will acquire from enrolling in this course include:

  • Applying safety measures in farm operations
  • Using farm tools and equipment
  • Performing estimation and calculations
  • Conducting pre-operations aquaculture activities
  • Preparing and maintain aquaculture facilities
  • Operating fish nursery
  • Performing fish or shrimp grow-out operations

Aquaculture NC II takes a minimum of  hours to complete.

Admission Requirements

Basic requirements for this TESDA course include:

  • Copy of NSO Birth Certificate
  • Highschool or College Diploma
  • Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records or Form 137
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • 1×1 and/or 2×2 Pictures

Competency Assessment and Certification

Students enrolled in the Aquaculture NC II course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation.     Is this kind of course available in Cebu City ?. Can you give me an exact location, if there is? How much its cost(estimated) for this course. then, how can we assure that we will get a work after taking this? Me and my brother are willing to study for this.

      As for your last question, we believe the course you’d take alone would not be enough to assure you of a job. It’s always a combination of different factors, so assurances would be difficult to give. Aquaculturists are part of the list of in demand professionals/workers released by the Department of Labor and Employment last year if that helps, though.
