Automotive Body Painting/Finishing NC III in the Philippines
Automotive Body Painting/Finishing NC III is a short TESDA course in the Philippines that will train you in repairing pearl/mica metallic body panels, especially in applying what you’re going to learn in color matching.
Some examples of skills that you will acquire from enrolling in this program include:
- Applying appropriate sealant/adhesive
- Moving and positioning vehicle
- Performing mensuration and calculation
- Reading, interpreting, and applying specifications and manuals
- Using and applying lubricant/coolant
- Performing shop maintenance
- Performing job estimate
- Interpreting/drawing technical drawing
- Performing pearl color matching
- Spraying three-stage pearl or mica color paint
- Performing polishing
Course Duration
Automotive Body Painting/Finishing NC III takes a minimum of 183 Hours to complete.
Admission Requirements
Basic requirements for this TESDA course include:
- Copy of NSO Birth Certificate
- Highschool or College Diploma
- Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records or Form 137
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- 1×1 and/or 2×2 Pictures
Prerequisite
Some Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) may require you to complete Automotive Body Painting/Finishing NC II before being allowed to take Automotive Body Painting/Finishing NC III
Careers
Qualified graduates of Automotive Body Painting/Finishing NC III can find employment as any of the following:
- Automotive painter (three- stage pearl/mica colors painting)
- Automotive paint contractor
- Automotive body paint finisher
Competency Assessment and Certification
Students enrolled in the Automotive Body Painting/Finishing NC III course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation. The basic requirements are oral and written communication skills, good moral character, and basic mathematical skills; however, training centers may require additional documents such as high school diploma and documents related to your work experience among other things. From what we know, the minimum age requirement for most courses is 18 years old.
