Name:  Charmaigne Mendrez

Course Taken: Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Technology and Livelihood Education

Why did you choose to take the course you did?

I chose this course because I am very interested in learning and enhancing my skills and capabilities so as to teach what I have learned.

What was the most interesting thing about the course?

The most interesting thing about this course are the lessons themselves. Why? It is because I had a lot of fun while learning.

What kind of activities did you do in your major subjects?

Cooking, baking,  interior designing,  sewing,  drafting, entrepreneurship, agriculture,  handicraft making, basic electrical, refrigeration and air conditioning, masonry, and many other areas of TLE.

What advice can you give to incoming students who are thinking of taking the same course you did?

I would like to inform you in advance that this course may be very expensive in terms of requirements, but I can assure you that you will really learn, although it will also depend on the teachers/instructors you will have.

What are the things that you learned from the course that have proven to be very useful in your work?

I have learned so many things, and even though I have yet to be employed, I can say that cooking, baking, handicraft making, and the other basic skills that I have acquired through the course of my study gave me additional income which is really a big help to my family.

Do you think you chose the right course?

Yes, now that the K-12 is being implemented, TLE teachers are very much needed both in public and private schools.
