Driving (Articulated Vehicle) NC III in the Philippines



Driving (Articulated Vehicle) NC III is a short TESDA course that will train you in operating motor road vehicles classified under LTO Restriction codes 6 up to 8, transporting heavy goods; liquids; and materials, and performing minor repairs on the assigned vehicle.

Some examples of skills that you will acquire while enrolled in this course include:

  • Applying appropriate sealant/adhesive
  • Moving and positioning vehicle
  • Performing mensuration and calculation
  • Reading, interpreting, and applying specifications and manuals
  • Using and applying lubricant/coolant
  • Performing shop maintenance
  • Interpreting/Drawing technical drawing
  • Performing job estimate
  • Obeying traffic rules and regulations
  • Implementing and coordinating accident-emergency procedures
  • Performing minor maintenance and servicing on vehicles classified under LTO restriction codes 6 up to 8
  • Performing pre-and post operation procedures vehicles classified under LTO restriction codes 6 up to 8
  • Observing road health and safety practices
  • Driving articulated vehicle

Course Duration

Driving (Articulated Vehicle) NC III takes a minimum ofย 108 hours to complete.

Admission Requirements

Basic requirements for this TESDA course include:

  • Copy of NSO Birth Certificate
  • Highschool or College Diploma
  • Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records or Form 137
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • 1×1 and/or 2×2 Pictures

Careers

Qualified graduates of Driving (Articulated Vehicle) NC III can find employment as anย articulated vehicle driver or truck trailer driver.

Competency Assessment and Certification

Students enrolled in the Driving (Articulated Vehicle) NC III course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation. A National Certificate (NC III) will be issued to students who passed this assessment. You can find more information on assessments and certifications at the official website ofย TESDA.

    ako po si joel mula dito sa gapan ako ay driver ng armored dito at matagal ko na po gustong makapag enroll para sa trailer driving pero hindi ko po alam kung saan may branch na may kursong ganito..sana po matulungan nyo ako,

I’ve been in Canada working as a truck driver before driving as 5 toner which is equivalent to 3-4 restriction here in the Philippines, So were right now and were trying to gained a restriction which is 6 up to 8 here in the Philippines, so were trying to seek a help from your good office if you could provides us a good training and safety program . There a lot at the back of me seeking same help from you.

    sir/madam tanong ko lng po kong saang tesda school ako pwede mkapag aral ng driving (articulated vehicle) nc III. andito po kace ako sa saude ngtratrabaho bilang isang heavy trailer truck driver sa companyang NAQEL FRIEGHT AND LOGISTIC EXPRESS.

  6. where is the training site. i need to send my drivers learn the proper driving skills and how much is the fee?
    We are presently have 3 trucks drivers that don’t have proper schooling. they learned thru watching their drivers. they are truck helpers or spotters for 4 years at first.

      Right now, the only school/training center listed on TESDA’s list of institutions authorized to offer this course is in Jaro, Iloilo. We’re not sure if the list is updated, though, so you might want to call TESDA for confirmation.

      Unfortunately, we don’t have available information about the tuition fee either. You can find that out from the school/training center offering the program, though. ๐Ÿ™‚
