Electronics Engineer and Electronics Technician Board Exam 2012



The  Electronics Engineer and Electronics Technician Board Exam, also known as the Electronics Engineer and Electronics Technician Licensure Examination, is a board exam facilitated by the Board of Electronics Engineering under the Professional Regulatory Commission to assess the competency of  graduates of BS Electronics and Communications Engineer and Electronics Technician graduates.

As per R.A. 1080, individuals who passed the board exam need not take the civil service exams to be eligible for the following positions:

  • Broadcast Engineer
  • Telecommunications Engineer
  • Computer Systems Engineer
  • Biomedical Engineer
  • Robotics/Mechatronics Engineer
  • Optics Engineer
  • Electronics Technician

Review Courses for Electronics Engineer and Electronics Technician Board Exam

There are review courses that you can take to prepare for the board exam. The content of these review courses may vary depending on the review centers, but they’re mostly based on the examination scope released by the Professional Regulatory Commission which includes:

Electronics Engineer

  • Mathematics 20%
  • Electronics Engineering 30%
  • General Engineering and Applied Sciences 20%
  • Electronics Systems and Technologies 30%

Electronics Technician

Technical Subjects and Laws and Ethics 100 %

  • Basic mathematics
  • Ohm’s Law
  • Electronic/Electrical Machine or
  • Equipment
  • Test Equipment,
  • Electronic/Electrical Component
  • Maintenance and Repair
  • Philippine Electrical Code
  • Philippine Electronics Code and R.A. No. 9292 – Electronics Engineering Law of 2004

TAKING THE EXAM

Licensure exams for BS Electronics and Communications Engineering graduates are held twice a year. Below are the dates and testing centers for the 2012 Electronics Engineer and Electronics Technician Board Exam:
