Emergency Medical Services NC II in the Philippines
Emergency Medical Services NC II is a short TESDA course in the Philippines that will train you in performing basic life support during emergency situations.
Some examples of skills that you will acquire from enrolling in this course include:
- Implementing and monitoring infection control policies and procedures
- Responding effectively to difficult and challenging behavior
- Applying basic first aid
- Maintaining high standard of patient services
- Performing Basic Life Support
- Maintaining Life Support Equipment and resources
- Implementing Safe Access and extrication procedures in an Emergency
- Managing Request for Ambulance Service
- Allocating Ambulance Service Resources
- Coordinating Emergency Resources
- Delivering Basic Ambulance Communication Skills
- Supervising On- Road Operations
- Managing the Scene of an Emergency
- Managing the Scene of a Special Event
- Managing Routine Scene
- Deliver pre- hospital patient care
- Delivering Intensive pre hospital patient care
- Managing Ambulance operations
- Transporting Emergency Patients
- Transporting Non- Emergency Patients
- Driving Vehicles Under Operational Conditions
Course Duration
Emergency Medical Services NC II takes a minimum of 960 hours to complete.
Admission Requirements
Basic requirements for this TESDA course include:
- Copy of NSO Birth Certificate
- Highschool or College Diploma
- Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records or Form 137
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- 1×1 and/or 2×2 Pictures
Careers
Qualified graduates of Emergency Medical Services NC II can find employment as any of the following:
- First-Aider
- ER Aide/Assistant
- Emergency Medical Technician (Basic)
Competency Assessment and Certification
Students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Services NC II course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation. It probably depends on the training schedule of the institution offering the course, but from what we’ve seen in some institutions so far, training usually lasts for six months.
