Heavy Equipment Operation (Forklift) NC II in the Philippines



The Heavy Equipment Operation (Forklift) NC II is a short TESDA course in the Philippines that will train you in handling materials in the warehouse using a forklift.

Some examples of skills that you will acquire from enrolling in this course include:

  • Preparing construction materials and tools
  • Observing procedures, specifications and manuals of instruction
  • Interpreting technical drawings and plans
  • Performing mensurations and calculations
  • Maintaining tools and equipment
  • Performing pre- and post-operation procedures for lifting equipment
  • Performing basic preventive maintenance servicing for lifting equipment
  • Performing productive operation for forklift

Course Duration

Heavy Equipment Operation (Forklift) NC II takes a minimum of 156 hours to complete.

Admission Requirements

Common requirements for TESDA courses include:

  • Copy of Birth Certificate authenticated by NSO
  • Copy of High school or College Diploma
  • Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records
  • 1×1 Pictures
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character

Requirements, however, may vary depending on the institution you are going to enroll at, so we strongly suggest you get in touch with the school or training center’s official representatives for more accurate and detailed information.

Qualified graduates of Heavy Equipment Operation (Forklift) NC II can find employment as a forklift operator.

Competency Assessment and Certification

Students enrolled in this course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation. You can take this at any of the TESDA-Accredited Assessment Centers for Heavy Equipment Operation (Forklift) NC II that we listed on this site. A National Certificate (NC II) will be issued to students who passed this assessment process.

    Hi,
    We want to take the FORKLIFT Training.

    We want to use the Forklift we purchased from China: http://www.vmaxchina.com/en/pdisplay.asp?id=46

    No. of persons: 6
    We don’t have target yet, but possible this January 2015.

    please advise regarding the following:
    1. How much it will cost if onsite (Subic) or in Clark?
    2. What are the requirements needed?
    3. Do you provide the Certificate for a Forklift Operator and/or any other certifications?

    Sir/mam,

    Tanong ko lang po sana kung pwede po ako manguha ng certification (NC11 heavy equipment operation for Forklift operation) w/o enrolling any course po sa tesda, sa kasalukuyan po forklift operator po ako ngayon for almost 5yrs.. Gusto ko lang po sana makakuha ng NC11 for applying jobs..

      Hi, Niño,

      From what we have been advised in the past, if you already have sufficient experience and you are confident that you can pass the assessment exam for a particular course, you can skip the classes and jump right ahead to taking the exam. We’re not sure if that applies to all courses or if there have been any changes in the process, though, so you might want to check with TESDA to be sure.

      From what we’ve seen on job advertisements placed by employers based overseas, a good number of them does recognize certificates issued by the Philippine government. Requirements may vary depending on the employer’s preferences or laws that govern the locality where the company operates, though, so we’re not too sure about that.

      We suggest you contact your target employer or the agency that recruits potential workers for them so they can give you a detailed and more accurate response. 🙂
