Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Mariveles, Bataan, commonly known as PUP Mariveles or PUP BEPZ, is a state university under the Polytechnic University of the Philippines System.Established in 1975, it offers undergraduate degree programs in the fields of business, engineering, education, and information technology.

Entrance ExaminationQualifications:

Students who meet the following criteria are qualified to take the PUP College Entrance Test:

  • Graduating high school students of the current school year
  • High school graduates who have not enrolled in any technical/diploma/degree program immediately after high school graduation
  • A Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) passer, eligible for admission to college with an average rating of 82 or higher in its five subject areas: Mathematics, Communication Arts (English), Science, Communication Arts (Filipino), and Araling Panlipunan
  • An Alternative Learning System Accreditation & Equivalency (ALS A & E) Test for Secondary Level passer, eligible for admission to college and has 100 or higher Standard Score (SS) and an essay writing proficiency level of 2 or higher

Requirements:

  • (For online registration) PUPCET 2012 Application Payment Voucher (printed from the PUP iApply)
  • (For online registration) PUPCET Payment Fee Receipt of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00) from any LANDBANK branch nationwide
  • Original or certified true copy, if lost, of F138 with school dry seal (for high school graduates who have not enrolled in any technical/diploma/degree program immediately after high school graduation)
  • Duly authenticated copy of the PEPT/ALS A&E Test Certificate of Rating, certified by the DepEd-BALS
  • School ID (for currently enrolled students) or any valid ID with picture (for previous HS graduates)

      Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a BS Civil Engineering program in PUP Mariveles. They have BS ECE and BSIE programs, though.

      We’re not affiliated with PUP, so we don’t really know when they are going to release the PUPCET results for specific PUP campuses. Results that are already available are posted on this page, though http://www.pup.edu.ph/iApply/Campuses.aspx, so you might want to keep checking it for updates.

Since passing it is a requirement for prospective students who wish to enroll at PUP, late applicants may no longer be entertained.       If you’ve already taken and passed their entrance exam, yes, you still can. You may have some problems if you haven’t, though, because PUP has limited slots for prospective students. It’s best if you’ll contact them directly through the contact numbers mentioned above to be sure.

      Schedule Date of Online Application: November 21, 2011
      Start of Issuance of Permit: January 2012
      Last Day of Payment: March 30, 2012
      Last Day of Issuance of Test Permit: April 10, 2012
      Test Schedule: April 15, 2012

    magkano po ang tuition bawat semester?? tska panu po kung nkapag take na po ako ng one year sa ibang school ng information technology, pag nagtransfer po ba ako jan sa PUP babalik ako ng first year ulit?? or icecredit ko po yung ibang subject na nakuha ko na?? thanks po..

      Ang Philippine Education Placement Test (PEPT) ay isang klase ng exam na pwedeng kunin ng mga overage students para ma-promote sa grade or year level na nararapat sa kanilang edad. Halimbawa, 16 years old na iyong estudyante pero first year High School pa lang siya, pwede siyang kumuha ng PEPT para automatic na ma-promote sa 4th year, provided na makapasa siya sa PEPT.

      Ang ALS A & E naman ay ginagamit para malaman kung karapat-dapat na magtapos sa elementary o High School ang isang estudyanteng napatigil sa pag-aaral kahit hindi kumpleto ang formal education niya.

      Halimbawa, ang isang estudyante na huminto sa kanyang 3rd grade sa elementary ay pwedeng ma-deklarang eligible na magtapos sa elementarya kahit hindi siya pormal na dumaan sa grades 4 and 5 as along as maipasa niya ang ALS A & E. Ganun din pagdating sa mga High School dropout. Kahit na hindi pormal na dumaan sa isa or ilang year levels ang estudyante, as long as makapasa siya sa ALS A & E, mabibigyan siya ng official na katibayan na sya ay kasing qualified ng ibang High School graduates na mag-enroll for college.

      As for the entrance exam, specific na nire-require ng PUP na kailangang graduating student ng current school year ang mag-apply for entrance exam, so we think that means no. We’re not connected in any way to PUP, though, so we’re not in the position to confirm that for you. Mas maganda siguro kung direkta mo na lang silang kontakin para itanong kung nag-a-allow sila ng exceptions para sigurado.

        sir/ma’am…graduate po aq ng BSN sa BPSU year 2009 and at the same time board passer din pu aq sa field n to….I decided n manguha ng accountancy sa PUP mariveles dahil my ganun clang offered program…may macrecredit pu b aqng unit kung sakali?????

          From what we know, previously taken subjects are usually credited as long as the course descriptions are the same. It’s at the discretion of schools whether to allow units to be credited or not and how many, though, so it’s best if you’ll contact PUP Mariveles directly so they can give you a more accurate and more detailed response.
