Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing (RAC) NC III in the Philippines



Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing NC III (Packaged-type air-conditioning unit / Commercial refrigeration equipment) is a short TESDA course in the Philippines that will train you in installing, servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air-conditioning and refrigeration units in commercial environment/ establishments other than centralized air-conditioning and industrial refrigeration systems.

  • Troubleshooting and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment
  • Performing start-up, testing and commissioning for packaged-type air-conditioning unit

Course Duration

Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing NC III (Packaged-type air-conditioning unit / Commercial refrigeration equipment) takes a minimum of 142 hours to complete.

Admission Requirements

Common requirements for TESDA courses include:

  • Copy of Birth Certificate authenticated by NSO
  • Copy of High school or College Diploma
  • Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records
  • 1×1 Pictures
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character

Requirements, however, may vary depending on the institution you are going to enroll at, so we strongly suggest you get in touch with the school or training center’s official representatives for more accurate and detailed information.

Prerequisite

Some TESDA-accredited institutions may require you to complete Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing NC II before being allowed to take Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing NC III (Packaged-type air-conditioning unit / Commercial refrigeration equipment).

Qualified graduates of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing NC III (Packaged-type air-conditioning unit / Commercial refrigeration equipment) can find employment as any of the following:

  • Packaged-type air-conditioning unit Installer
  • Commercial Refrigeration Equipment Installer
  • Packaged-type air-conditioning unit and Commercial Refrigeration Equipment Maintenance Technician
  • Commercial Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technician (HVAC/R Technician)

Competency Assessment and Certification

Students enrolled in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing NC III (Packaged-type air-conditioning unit / Commercial refrigeration equipment) course may be required to undergo a Competency Assessment before graduation.
