Senior High School Specialized Subject: Human Movement
Human Movement is one of the specialized subjects under the sports career track. Some examples of the things that you will learn from taking this subject include:
- Movement screen (assessment)
- Movement analysis for efficient and effective performance
- Motor skill acquisition
- Theories of motor control for efficient and effective performance
While studying, you will also be asked to demonstrate what you have learned by participating in class activities that may include the following:
- Describing the nature, purpose, and procedures of movement screens
- Interpreting the results of the movement screen
- Explaining the different theories of motor control and learning
- Identifying course of action appropriate for various needs and skill levels
- Modifying course of action based on feedback
