Senior High School Specialized Subject: Rice Machinery Operations



Rice Machinery Operations is one of the specialized subjects under the technical-vocational livelihood (TVL) career track. Some examples of the things that you will learn from taking this subject include:

    • Assessment of personal competencies and skills
  • Environment and Market
    • Key concepts of market
    • Players in the market
    • Products and services available in the market
    • Consumer analysis
  • Rice Crop Establishment Machinery and Equipment
  • Crop Care Machinery and Equipment
  • Rice Harvesting and Threshing Machinery and Equipment
  • Rice Drying Machinery and Equipment
  • Rice Milling Machinery and Equipment

While studying, you will also be asked to demonstrate what you have learned by participating in class activities that may include the following:

  • Operating rice crop establishment machinery and equipment as directed
  • Handling materials, tools, machinery and equipment
  • Cleaning up on completion of work
  • Preparing materials, tools and equipment for crop care
  • Preparing materials, tools and equipment for rice milling activity
  • Storing and stockpiling materials
  • Handling materials and equipment
  • Cleaning up upon completion of crop care work
  • Cleaning up upon completion of rice drying activities
  • Undertaking harvesting and threshing work as directed
  • Undertaking rice milling activity as directed
  • Undertaking rice drying activity as directed
