Entrance Examination

Qualifications:

Students who meet the following criteria are qualified to take the PUP College Entrance Test:

  • Graduating high school students of the current school year
  • High school graduates who have not enrolled in any technical/diploma/degree program immediately after high school graduation
  • A Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) passer, eligible for admission to college with an average rating of 82 or higher in its five subject areas: Mathematics, Communication Arts (English), Science, Communication Arts (Filipino), and Araling Panlipunan
  • An Alternative Learning System Accreditation & Equivalency (ALS A & E) Test for Secondary Level passer, eligible for admission to college and has 100 or higher Standard Score (SS) and an essay writing proficiency level of 2 or higher

Requirements:

  • (For manual application) PUPCET Payment Official Receipt of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00) from PUP Campus Cashier’s Office
  • Original or certified true copy, if lost, of F138 with school dry seal (for high school graduates who have not enrolled in any technical/diploma/degree program immediately after high school graduation)
  • Duly authenticated copy of the PEPT/ALS A&E Test Certificate of Rating, certified by the DepEd-BALS
  • School ID (for currently enrolled students) or any valid ID with picture (for previous HS graduates)

      The PUP School of Distance Education is located at the PUP main campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila, so we’re guessing that’s where you should apply, but since it’s a distance learning program where most (if not all) of your classes will be conducted online, it shouldn’t matter where you take the actual classes once you’ve become accepted in one of their programs as long as you’re connected to the internet. We’re not sure about that, though, so it would still be best if you’ll contact the officials of PUP SDE directly for a more accurate response. 🙂

      If you’ll really need an ID, a postal ID is relatively easy to obtain although you will have to pay for it.

      PUP does accept transferees, but we’re not sure about graduates of two-year courses from other schools. It would probably be best if you’ll get in touch with the representatives of PUP so they can give you a more accurate and detailed response. You can find their contact numbers above.

      We’re not sure about that, but they did mention in the requirements that a certified true copy of the Form 138 can be accepted if the original one was lost, so you can just ask the school where you graduated to give you another copy. Just make sure it was signed by the proper authorities and bears the seal of your school.
