Radio Production

Radio production, as a subject, is the study of producing programs intended for radio broadcast. Radio dramas, music countdowns, radio commercials, talk radio, and podcasts are some of the products of radio production.

Applications

Radio production has many real-life applications. Below are some examples:

General Information and News Programs

General information and news programs are some of the most common applications of the things you’ll learn from radio production.  For example, Public Service Announcements aired over the radio have been a great help in providing vital information that keeps the public safe.

Music and Entertainment Programs

Music and entertainment programs are also common applications of radio production. Developing new programs, interviewing guests, and creating playlists, and interacting with callers are some of the things usually taught at radio production classes.

Voice-over Work

Voice-over works are audio materials recorded in order to narrate an event or to give voice to a character that is typically not seen on cam. Some examples of uses of voice-over works are animated series, telenovelas, sports commentaries, and radio and TV advertisements to name a few.
