Senior High School Core Subject: Disaster Readiness and Risk Reduction
Disaster Readiness and Risk Reduction is one of the core subjects under the senior high school curriculum. Some examples of the things that you will learn from taking this subject include:

- Other related geological hazards

- What to expect between the state and the citizens
While studying, you will also be asked to demonstrate what you have learned by participating in class activities that may include the following:
- Identifying areas/locations exposed to hazards
- Analyzing disaster from the different perspectives
- Interpreting hazard maps
- Applying precautionary measures before, during, and after a disaster
- Developing a community preparedness plan
- Following emergency and evacuation plans
- Recognizing signs of impending hazards
