In Demand / Popular Courses in the Philippines
For several years, Nursing and other medicine and health related courses consistently topped the list of Β the most popular or in demand courses in the Philippines.
However, with the Higher Education Indicators report recently released by the Commission on Higher Education, it seems that other fields have been catching up.
Below are the list of in demand courses in the Philippines starting from School Year 2008-2009 to present.
- In Demand / Popular Courses in the Philippines for SY 2011-2012

So far, we haven’t come across a Nail Technician course yet. There are TESDA courses that provide nail-related training, though. You might want to check them out.

Good Day Ladies and Gentlemen!
Good day to you too! π
Hi! Good day.. Ask ko lang if mahirap ba ang course na BSCE? Hindi ko talaga kasi alam kung yun na talaga yung kukunin kong course. I can’t decide which one is the best. IT or BSCE? Help me please? :3
Im a freshmen student I took up ComArts actually naka enrolled nako tas yung parents ko pinag shift ako ng Business ad major in marketing.. ngayon gusto ko itanong kung ano ba mas madali makahanap ng work its Either ComArts or Marketing..yung pagka graduate ko hindi ako mahihirapan mag apply. Im so upset and full of frustration because of my course! Marketing is my parents choice and comarts is my choice, but i follow them because they knew what is good for me. Marketing or ComArts??
Hi, Sunshine!
From what we know, CHED issued an order temporarily stopping schools from offering new nursing programs a couple of years back. We’ve also read reports that some schools have been warned that they would be asked to close their nursing programs if they do not produce a satisfactory number of board passers; however, so far, we have not heard of any news about phasing out the nursing program altogether.
As for the availability of jobs, unfortunately, we cannot confirm that for you as we’ve also read conflicting reports in the past. What we suggest is try to browse through the ads at job employment sites. They’re posted by employers and recruitment agencies themselves, so it can give you an idea of how many jobs are actually available for job seekers.

HELLO im amiel sena….
okay ako sa :SELLING,COMMISSIONING,COOKING,PLAYING COMPUTER GAMES.
not okay: MATHEMATICS nd po ako magaling sa math. and hindi din po gaano sa english.
but still engineering kinuha ko..ang mindset ko po ksi is saan ako uunlad..pero mali pala ung basihan na ganun..hirap tuloy ako ngayon.
pwede nyo po b akong matulungan? please answer po.
Hi, Amiel!
Have you considered taking up BS Business Administration major in Marketing before? It usually fits those who are good at selling products and services. It does have a couple of Math subjects, but they were reportedly not as difficult as other courses’. Marketing can also be flexible because you can work in any industry, so after you’ve acquired enough funds and experience, you might be able to use the things you’ll learn from it to start your own business — like a cafeteria, for example.
Of course, that’s just a suggestion. In the end, it’s totally up to you to decide whether it’s going to work for you or not.
Good luck! π
