Why did you choose to take the course you did?
I like slaughtering and it’s in demand in other countries.
What was the most interesting thing about the course?
Learning more about the skeletal system of hogs, cattle, and other animals, red and white offal’s, bacteria, viruses, and diseases of animals.
What kind of activities did you do in your major subjects?
Hands-on slaughtering procedures, trainings and seminars on standard operating procedures when it comes to sanitation and personal hygiene, and food contaminants.
What advice can you give to incoming students who are thinking of taking the same course you did?
Focus on your goal, look forward, and don’t quit once you’ve enrolled in this course.
What are the things you learned from the course that have proven to be very useful in your work?
Being patient, hand and eye coordination, and never quitting once you have started something.
Do you think you chose the right course?
Yes, because it’s interesting and I get to know more about humane handling of animals, good quality of meat, and proper slaughtering procedures.
