Senior High School Specialized Subject: Exhibit for Arts Production (Literary Arts)



Exhibit for Arts Production (Literary Arts) is one of the specialized subjects under the arts and design career track. Some examples of the things that you will learn from taking this subject include:

  • Introduction to Play
    • Elements of Drama
      • Conflict
      • Character
      • Setting
      • Stagecraft
      • Dialogue
  • Writing for Media
    • Scriptwriting for television and radio

While studying, you will also be asked to demonstrate what you have learned by participating in class activities that may include the following:

  • Generating ideas from various literary works including tips on playwriting techniques
  • Comparing ideas from various literary works including tips on playwriting techniques
  • Comparing and contrasting the text of a play vs. a play as performed in the form of a written review
  • Engaging in various pre-writing activities that enhance critical and creative writing skills
  • Drafting a one-act play
  • Revising work according to mentor’s comments and peer’s feedback
  • Analyzing various types of dialogues in scripts
  • Engaging in various free writing activities
  • Creating a storyboard
  • Writing a script for a radio commercial or television show or a short film
  • Assessing criticism given through workshops, stage reading, and other performances
  • Revising work according to critics’ and audience’s comments
