Undergraduate Degree Programs in the Philippines
Undergraduate degree programs are academic programs that are geared towards granting you a degree in exchange for completing a specified number of courses or subjects. They typically take four to five years to complete, depending on the field of study.
Upon completion of the program, you will be granted a Bachelor’s Degree that you can use either to apply for jobs that require higher skill sets, particularly when it comes to the performance of administrative or management-related duties, or to gain acceptance into a post-graduate degree program.

Gud day maam/sir
Graduate na po ako ng BS in marine transportation at nka work na ako abroad, then now i stop working abroad, cause hindi ko tlga kaya pag malayo sa family.gusto ko sana mag-aral ulit yung course na dito lang sa pinas magtatrabaho.yung course den na marami syang ma credit sa last course ko at yung course na mtatapos ko agad.maximum of 2 years..salamat po.godbless
Hi, Jason!
From what we know, the closest course would probably be BS Marine Engineering since BSMarE and BSMT share several subjects. We’re not sure exactly how many units would be carried over from your previous course to the next one should you decide to eventually pursue MarE, though, which could affect how long it would take for you to finish the course. We believe the concentration of local jobs for BS MarE graduates is also in Cebu and Subic where the shipbuilding companies are, so that might be a bit of a stretch, but you might want to look into it. That’s just from what we know, though. We suggest you still try to get more information from other sources for additional input.

Good day po maam and sir ask kulang po kung pwd po mag training sa tesda ang under graduate sa high school po. Ako po kasi under grad gusto ku po sanang mag training kahit 3 months lang po. Tnx po.
Hi, John Carlo!
From what we know, there are certain courses that don’t require a high school diploma. We don’t have a list on file, though, so we suggest you check out the specific training regulations of the courses that you are interested in by going to this page:
http://www.tesda.gov.ph/Download/Training_Regulations?Searchcat=Training%20Regulations
Just download the document then look for “Trainee Entry Requirements.”
Schools may impose additional requirements on top of the ones TESDA requires, though, so you might want to check with them first to see if they require a high school diploma prior to admission.
On a side note, if you need a high school diploma but do not have the time or means to finish high school the traditional way, you might want to check our articles on the Alternative Learning System program to see if it will work for you.

Good luck!
